
Before I dive into the Christmas folly and silliness season, I wanted to share with you what’s been happening in my world.
I wanted to let you know that you have been and are in my thoughts.
I had a loss of a loved one.
Have you ever had an ending to a relationship, loved one or an event that broke you open? Leaving you vulnerable, confused and lost.
I did in July. I had a miscarriage or as I call it a breaking open.
It was a moment that impacted the way
I thought,
felt
comprehended
and moved through life.
The reason I am sharing this with you is that in this time of ending of 2016 and beginning a new year, It is time to reflect on events, relationships and endings.
I this year encountered what I’ve called my shadowy haze.
There is a fog of questioning, confusion, doubt and agony?
Have you ever had a moment where you question everything?
This was it for me. A splash of clarity in my face. That’s way I’ve taken my time with getting back to you.
I had to be there for me first and nourish myself before I could be there for you. As challenging as it was to give myself permission for.
So I wanted to ask you, as you near the end of the year. Did you have a dark shadowy haze and how did you love yourself through it?
Did you reach for comfort food?
Stay at home when you were invited out by friends?
Screen calls and allow calls to voicemail?
Distract yourself by being there for others and not yourself first?
Whichever way you chose, with Christmas around the corner it may be a time where your shadowy haze may rear its head.

Here are 5+ ways to feel good in your skin and stay sane:
1. Journal your feelings – notes has saved my ass quite a few times
2. Remember to breath – deeply and slowly will help you to centre and ground yourself
3. Sleep that extra you needed – the dishes aren’t going anywhere
4. Reach out and connect with a friend – again using messaging can really help to express what’s going on in the moment
5. Go outside and be with mamma earth – Step outside for a moment whatever the weather and feel
6. Enjoy every bite when eating your food at Christmas
