
As April Fools Day has come about for another year, I’d like to ask you, how often do you enjoy yourself and joke around?
How often do you do you see the funny side of life and situations? Seeing the funny side relives stress, helps you to cope effectively with challenges and assists you in realising that life can enjoyable even when you are going through ‘tough’ times.
In the spirit of April Fools Day I’d like to give you 3 ways to add a tad more light, fun and folly into your life today.
- Witness life and situations as written in a comedy
The problem is in modern life there are so many messages that you are bombarded with; what you need more of, what you don’t have enough of and who you ought to be. Here’s a suggestion as to what to do instead be a witness to your life and the situation you are in, what would a comedic writer or your favourite comedian view that as to make light of the situation?
- Laugh even if its uncomfortable
The problem is there isn’t enough opportunity created to laugh, have fun or cut loose in most modern women’s lives. So instead laugh when you don’t feel like it, when you feel it isn’t appropriate or when you should be responding in a different way. - Make it up, use your creativity and imagination to express yourself
Creativity has definitely had a come back in recent years with colouring books for adults craze as an example. Yet I’d challenge you to take it a step further and give permission to express yourself creatively in other ways to enjoy yourself more; grabbing some crayons or pastels and paper and scribbling or doodling to your heart’s content, singing a song that you make up because you can or dancing and busting moves to your fav songs.
