
It occurred to me today as the theme of pleasure has been buzzing around me lately.
So today I am sharing a day in the life of my pleasure practice.
This came as a result of a client wanting to know how to me embody this and integrate it in practical terms in her own life. So I thought it would also help you
The reason I’m sharing this is when you are feeling pleasure as a habit you experience
• Increased body confidence
• Boost your levels of relaxation
• Allows you to respond rather than react and
• Helps you feel, happier, healthier and authentic
The problem is that if you are not experiencing pleasure regularly; you are increasingly at risk of being stressed, not coping under pressure and more likely to reach for food to numb, avoid, suppress your feelings.
The reason receiving pleasure is a priority is this, there are two influencers that motivate and drive human behaviour in life, pain (fear) or pleasure (love).
Most humans are more driven by the moving away from pain than they are moving toward pleasure.
My desire for you is to begin to move toward pleasurable experiences even more so life becomes so fun, playful and you enjoy yourself daily.
Here’s the next step, pinpoint at minimum of three times in your day for a 2 minute time period (set your timer if you must) and use my day in the life for some inspiration to begin the journey to boosting the pleasure in your life!
6.42am Danced around to welcome the day in the shower
6.55am Brushing teeth whilst dancing
6.57am Good ol’ whiff of essential oils
7.35am Danced and sang in the car to the radio
9.26am With pleasurable sounds ate my porridge
11.11am Gave myself a hug and told myself thanks for working and being super productive
12.44pm My practice of pleasurable eating whilst enjoying my food
4.04pm Danced to a song that got me bopping
5.45pm Spontaneously danced and sang whilst making dinner
7.06pm Gave cuddles to my Emme whilst putting her to bed
8.08pm Snuggled up to my man whilst reading a book that made me laugh out loud
9.13pm A little intimate naughtiness ….
Do it all again tomorrow!
